Three Micro-Stories for the FH Europe Foundation
Challenge
FH Europe needed more than statistics about familial hypercholesterolaemia (HoFH); they needed human proof that could move donors, pharma leaders, and policy-makers to act.
Our Approach
An opportunity arose, when FH Europe decided to organise a two-day ambassador-training workshop, where multiple patients would gather. So, we built a quiet, mobile studio in an adjacent room to the workshop. There we filmed three in-depth conversations with patients, capturing raw emotion while the event continued nearby.
Deliverables
3 × 60 to 90-sec microstories
Interview transcriptions to feed non-video social media posts and communications with human context.
Thumbnails for social sharing.
Immediate Impact
Human context for every pitch – FH Europe can now use the micro-story videos to raise awareness by showing what their work really means on human level or drop a micro-story into grant decks and policy briefs, giving decision-makers a story that statistics alone can’t supply.
Ready-made upgrade path – Because the interviews are already captured, a future full-documentary needs only b-roll at each patient’s home—no repeat deep-dive interviewing required, reducing production time and enabling local crews with zero interview expertise.
Versatile assets – The same clips fuel social campaigns; video is the content type donors trust most for authenticity.
What’s Next
When FH Europe green-lights a long-form film, we’ll:
Align goals using our 5-keyword method (intention = effectivity).
Select the strongest character from the recorded interviews.
Storyboard the arc—hook → conflict → journey → resolution → call to action—so every shot earns its place.
Capture local b-roll with us or a trusted cinematographer in the patient’s country (no interview skills needed).
Narrative video doesn’t just tell stakeholders what FH Europe does—it lets them feel it, unlocking donations, partnerships, volunteer energy, policy attention, and even future talent interest.
— a note on project scope
In this example, FH Europe Foundation chose to have me film two days instead of one, which made it possible to film all the interviews plus event coverage. This additional filming time was added to the package intentionally and is of course optional to you.
