The Creative Process

1. Discovery Call

It all begins with a short call where I have the chance to listen and learn about you, your organisation and your goals. It’s a casual conversation to see if we would like to work together and if a video productions makes sense for you.

2. Proposal

I will then prepare a detailed proposal that clearly outlines the scope, the creative approach as well as the investment. I will send this proposal to you for review. You can then decide if you’d like accept or adapt the proposal.

3. Kick-Off Meeting

Now it is time to talk more in detail about your project and your desired outcome. I will walk you through the next steps and together we choose a plan of action.

4. Storyfinding

This is where the storyfinding process beginns. I will go out and talk to lots of different people in the story space. I will also read up on the topic and try to learn as much as possible. All this to be able to select the right main character for our story. This character serves as the emotional core of our story. They are how our audience will connect emotionally. Because emotion is the gateway to action and a change of beliefs, this is a critical next step. Once a great main character is identified, I will develop 5 keywords that will serve as a creative filter for all decisions down the road.

5. Developing The Plot

Our last step in pre-production is to use the keywords and the selected character to develop an engaging plot from beginning, to middle, to ending.

We look to develop a strong conflict or question within the story, a scientifically validated way of creating engagement throughout a story.

6. Time For Production

Once we're aligned on all three creative milestones, we'll head in-the-field to bring the story to life. Armed with incredible intention, we can efficiently and powerfully capture your story. We then bring it back to the studio and bring it all together in post–always referencing our keywords and using every decision to help serve our larger objective.

7. Review

For every single production, I offer two rounds of revisions at no extra charge. Practically this means that I upload the first edit to a video review platform, where you can easily watch and comment. I will then take your feedback and improve the edit until you are 100 % satisfied.
