2. Product description

Filmmaker CRM is a source-code product sold as a one-time digital download through Gumroad. You receive the complete source code for a self-hosted customer-relationship-management application built with Next.js, PostgreSQL, and Prisma, which you run on your own infrastructure.

3. Price and payment

The price on this site is a single payment, with no subscription and no recurring charge. Payment is taken by Gumroad, which acts as the merchant of record and issues your receipt. Gumroad shows you the final amount, including any VAT due in your own country, before you confirm the payment. There are no delivery costs: the product is a download.

4. Licence

By purchasing Filmmaker CRM you receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use, modify, and deploy the source code for your own personal or business use. The licence is granted to the individual who made the purchase.

  • You may modify the code for your own use.
  • You may deploy the CRM for your own business.
  • You may not resell, redistribute, or share the source code.
  • You may not publish the source code in a public repository.
  • You may not use the code to create a competing product for sale.
  • One purchase = one licence = one person.

5. Disclaimer

This product was built by a filmmaker, not a professional software company. The software is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

While the CRM has been tested and is used in production, you are responsible for reviewing the code, confirming it meets your needs, and maintaining your own deployment. We do not guarantee that the software is free of bugs or security vulnerabilities.

6. Refunds and the right of withdrawal

A consumer buying digital content online normally has 14 days to withdraw. That right falls away for a download only if two things are true: you gave your prior express consent for delivery to start straight away, and you acknowledged that you would lose the withdrawal right by doing so. Gumroad asks you both at checkout. Once the download has started on that basis, the sale is final, since source code cannot be returned.

If you have not yet downloaded, the 14 days still stand and you can withdraw by writing to lars@shiftvideoproductions.com or through Gumroad, without giving a reason. Please read the feature list and the FAQ before buying, and try the live demo, which is free and needs no card. Nothing here limits the mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence, including the legal guarantee of conformity.

7. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Setting up and maintaining your own hosting environment
  • Securing your deployment and database
  • Complying with data-protection law (GDPR and others) for the data you store in the CRM
  • Managing your own API keys and third-party integrations
  • Keeping the source code private and not sharing it with others

8. Third-party services

The CRM can optionally connect to third-party services you bring your own keys for, for example Google (Gmail and Calendar), AssemblyAI, contact-enrichment providers, and your own publishing platform. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them, their availability, or their pricing.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall the creator of Filmmaker CRM be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, this software, including but not limited to data loss, business interruption, or lost profits. Nothing in this clause excludes liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Support

This product does not include ongoing support or maintenance. The README includes setup and deployment instructions. For questions, write to lars@shiftvideoproductions.com or reach out through the Gumroad product page.

11. Complaints and disputes

Send a complaint to lars@shiftvideoproductions.com first. If we cannot sort it out between us, a consumer in Belgium can take it to the Consumentenombudsdienst (Consumer Mediation Service), Koning Albert II-laan 8 bus 1, 1000 Brussels.

These terms are governed by Belgian law, and disputes go to the competent courts of Belgium, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you a different forum.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. Changes appear on this page with a new “last updated” date, and apply to purchases made after that date. The terms you bought under are the ones in force at the time of your purchase.
